Did something go wrong during your order and your code no longer works, even though you haven't used it yet? Then wait one hour before ordering and try again. After 1 hour your unique Rotterdampas discount code will be released again (if no payment has been made).

Skating Rink Rotterdam is open daily during the winter months. Opening hours may vary during holidays. Check opening hours before your visit.

We use time slots. This way, we can guarantee all visitors an entrance at Skating Rink Rotterdam. Online booking is therefore a must. You can reserve your time slot via tickets.schaatsbaanrotterdam.nl. Is the time slot not convenient after all? The time slots can be rebooked to any time of your choice until the end of the season.

You can enter 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after your reserved time slot. Not going to make it? Then rebook your ticket using the link in your confirmation e-mail. You received this when you bought your tickets. Rebooking is possible until the end of the season.

No, tickets are sold online via tickets.schaatsbaanrotterdam.nl.

Once inside is inside! You can skate for as long as you want.

You can always rebook non-scanned tickets to another time slot of your choice until the end of the season. Please note that for a ‘more expensive’ time slot, you have to pay the difference in price. For a ‘cheaper’ time slot, the difference in price is not refundable. You can rebook using the link in your confirmation e-mail. You received this when you bought your tickets. Cancelling tickets is not possible.

No. Tickets can only be used once.

Even if you only come to watch, you pay admission. However, you do get a discount on your entrance fee; a companion ticket is available online for €4. This ticket allows you to enter, but not to rent skates once you are inside.

It is not possible to cancel already purchased tickets. However, it is possible to change your ticket to another time! This allows you to use your tickets at a time that suits you better. Rebooking is possible until the end of the season. After that it is no longer possible to rebook and the validity of the ticket expires. You can rebook using the link in the confirmation e-mail you received when you bought your ticket(s).

Always rent your skates in advance online via tickets.schaatsbaanrotterdam.nl. We rent ice hockey skates and rinks. For the little ones, we sell ice skates in the shop (up to shoe size 30).

This is possible! You can have your speed skates, ice hockey- and figure skating skates sharpened in the shop. Sharpening is possible from as little as €13.50. Our partner Schaatsplus will be happy to advise you during your visit. Depending on how busy it is, skates can be sharpened immediately.

• On the Fun rink, you may enter the ice with figure skates, ice hockey skates and ice skates. You are not allowed to skate on this rink with skates.
• On the 400-metre rink, you can skate with all types of skates. Please note! During the speed skating hour, the 400-metre rink may only be entered with skates. Recreational skaters on other types of skates skate on the Fun rink during the skating hour.

At Skating Rink Rotterdam, at least one certified first aider is present on site at all times. If first aid is needed, please consult one of our staff members.

The site is easily accessible for people with physical disabilities. Would you also like to go on the ice for a while? Give us a call prior to your visit; then we can advise on the safest times to do so. You can reach us by phone on 010 7900 514.

Lockers can be found in the entrance hall. These lockers are cashless; you pay by iDeal (using your phone).

Schaatsbaan Rotterdam has its own car park for about 300 cars. Parking is free! If the car park is full, please check this page for other options.

Ride cards and season tickets are seasonal and therefore only valid for the season for which you bought them. You cannot take remaining season tickets and/or subscriptions with you to the next winter. New purchases can be made via the webshop.

No. The rides cards and subscriptions are personalised and can only be used by one person. A rides card or season ticket can only be scanned once per part of the day at the entrance.

No, own skating aids are not allowed. Luckily, we have these on the ice! Our seals can be found on the Fun rink. Use of these is free of charge. Please note that the seals are not allowed on the 400-metre rink; on this rink you have to try it without a skate helper! 😉

No, this is not allowed. The ice rinks can only be entered with skates. This therefore also applies to accompanying parents/carers.

Wearing gloves is compulsory for your own safety, as falling on ice causes serious abrasions. In addition, gloves provide some protection against sharp blades of other skaters. Don't have gloves with you? These are available at the service desk from €6 per pair.

No. You are not allowed to bring your own drinks and food (except for a bottle of water, water bottle or sports drink). At the Winter Square there is fortunately enough choice of drinks and snacks/food! In case of violation of this rule, please put your brought drinks/food back in your bag immediately.

1. Entry to terrain is at your own risk.
2. Gloves and wearing skates are compulsory on the ice.
3. Smoking is not allowed on the entire complex.
4. Schaatsbaan Rotterdam is cashless; you can only pay by pin.
5. You are not allowed to skate with noren/speed skates on the Funbaan.
6. Skating aids remain on the Funbaan.
7. You are not allowed to bring your own drinks and food.
8. The inside of the 400-metre rink is for fast and experienced skaters.
9. The outside of the 400-metre rink is for recreational, learning and slow skaters.
10. On the 400-metre rink, you skate in one direction, anti-clockwise.
11. Always listen to the instructions of our staff.

During the maintenance break of the 400-metre track, it is not allowed to enter the track. The fun track will be open then. The mopping-up schedule can be found here. There is no maintenance schedule for the fun track; it is resurfaced at least three times a day and, depending on how busy it is that day, once or twice more.

During the noren hour, only experienced/fast noren riders are allowed on the 400-metre track. The noren hour is daily at 08:00-09:00, on Monday from 18:30-22:00, on Wednesday from 18:30-20:00 and on Sunday from 07:00-08:45. During the noren hour, recreational, learning and slow skaters on figure- and ice hockey skates are not allowed on the 400-metre rink. The fun rink is open during the noren hour (except on Mondays, on Mondays the entire ice skating rink is closed for any visitor who isn't participating in the noren hour or a course by Duosport).

Yes, you can! Please keep in mind that speed skates/noren are not allowed at the Fun Rink.

The skate frame is a sports aid for children with motor/physical disabilities, low balance or low energy. Thanks to this skating frame, skating is accessible to every child! You rent it online prior to your visit for €7.50 per visit.

Go to the webshop, choose a date and time slot and follow the payment steps. Always buy your ticket online; we do not sell tickets at the door.

You can. Go to reserveren.schaatsbaanrotterdam.nl, choose ‘Arrangement’, fill in your desired date and the number of persons and easily compile your package yourself. You will receive a quote within 48 hours.

The rainbow lights are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm. During school holidays, the rainbow lights are on daily from 4pm.

Schaatsbaan Rotterdam is open daily from 23 November to 1 March. During the season, the 400-metre rink and Fun rink are open for all types of skaters.

At Schaatsbaan Rotterdam we rent out skate frames, which allow children with a motor disability, poor balance or little energy to skate along! You can rent a skate frame via our website for €7.50. Once inside, you can stay as long as you want - so you can skate as long as you want with a skate frame!

A skate frame is a frame with a seat, a handlebar and three blades. Even if you cannot stand or move around on your own, you can use it to glide across the ice: you sit firmly on the frame, push off with spikes under your feet and off you go! Thanks to this cool sports aid, children with a motor disability, little energy or poor balance can also experience the real feeling of skating without falling or getting very tired. In this film you can see how it works.

Skating aids are available on the ice at Skating Rink Rotterdam, our ‘seals’. Use of these is free of charge! The seals are available on the Funbaan, you are not allowed to take them to the 400-metre rink. In crowded conditions, you may have to wait a while for your turn.

1. Check your Spam folder! Can't find the mail there? Go to Step 2.
2. Log in to Mijn Schaatsbaan and download your tickets (found under Mijn bestellingen or Laatst gekochte tickets). Don't have an account yet? Create a new account via Forgotten password, use the e-mail address you used to make the purchase.
3. Tried number 1 and 2, but still no luck? Go to the service desk with proof of payment (bank statement), there we can look up your order and provide you with tickets.

Skating rink Rotterdam is open during Christmas and holidays! However, modified opening hours apply. Please check our opening hours prior to your visit.

7. Klaar! Je hebt nu schaatsen toegevoegd aan jouw bestelling. Deze ontvang je in een aparte mail. Veel plezier met schaatsen!

Het gebruiken van een kluisje is niet verplicht. Wel willen we bezoekers op onderstaande punten wijzen:
- Schaatsbaan Rotterdam is niet aansprakelijk voor schade, verlies, diefstal van eigendommen (zie ook onze algemene voorwaarden);
- We raden het aan om geen waardevolle spullen mee te nemen, zoals bijzondere of designer schoenen, laptops, etc.
- Wanneer je wél waardevolle spullen bij je hebt, raden we het altijd aan om deze te bewaren in een kluisje of niet onbeheerd achter te laten!

Huur je schaatsen altijd voorafgaand aan je bezoek online, via https://tickets.schaatsbaanrotterdam.nl. Schaatsen zijn te huur vanaf €6,50. Indien je schaatsen bij de kassa huurt, betaal je €1 toeslag per paar; dit geldt voor alle type huurschaatsen. Tevens loop je het risico dat alle schaatsen zijn verhuurd. 

Bij Schaatsbaan Rotterdam kunnen kinderen t/m 12 jaar en ouders gratis gebruik maken van de zeehondjes. Dit zijn schaatshulpjes, te vinden op de Funbaan. De zeehondjes blijven te allen tijde op het ijs van de Funbaan en mogen niet meegenomen worden naar het Winterplein of de 400-meterbaan. Omdat gebruik van de zeehondjes gratis is, verwachten wij van onze bezoekers dat jullie deze onderling in goede orde verdelen. Zeehondjes zijn primair bedoeld voor kinderen t/m 12 jaar en begeleidende ouders en niet voor (jong)volwassenen om op te racen of om op te zitten tijdens het schaatsen. Laat de jonge kinderen ook genieten van het ijs en geef de zeehondjes aan onze jongste bezoekers! Wanneer wij zien dat bezoekers misbruik maken van zeehondjes en/of zorgen voor onveilige situaties voor andere bezoekers, verwijderen wij betreffende persoon van het terrein zonder eerste waarschuwing.

Dit kan, maar houd wel rekening met eventueel gevaarlijke aspecten, zoals de vorm van de helm (punt naar achteren) of aerodynamische gaten. Lees hier verder!
